Catalin Necula
Catalin Necula is originally from Romania and holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest. He later completed a PhD in Dairy Science at the Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Timișoara, where his research focused on the impact of lameness on nitrogen metabolism in dairy cattle.
With more than 20 years of experience in ruminant nutrition, animal health, and farm management, he has dedicated his career to improving efficiency, productivity, and welfare in livestock systems.
His key areas of interest include nitrogen metabolism and efficiency, metabolic diseases during the transition period, and the development of practical on-farm assessment tools that support productivity and sustainability.
