About Bruno

Dr. Bruno do Amaral earned his BS (2001) in Animal Sciences and MS (2003) in animal production at the Federal University of Lavras in Brazil. Bruno’s passion for the dairy industry motivated him to move to FL and earn his Ph.D. (2008) at the University of Florida evaluating the effects of nutrition on reproduction, immunity, and physiology of transition dairy cows with numerous awards including the Omega Protein Innovation Research Award from the American Society of Animal Sciences. During his Post-Doc at the University of Florida at Dr. Dahl’s lab, Bruno evaluated the effects of heat stress abatement in dry cows.
After leaving UF, Bruno has worked in the Midwest, SE, and the West coast as Technical Support, Dairy Nutritionist Consultant, and Calf and Heifer Specialist. Bruno is passionate about helping his clients reach their goals and believes that TEAM (Together Everyone Achieve More) is the key to the success of his clients. Bruno is focussing on the profitability of his clients by fine-tuning nutrition, management, and training at the farm. Bruno’s ability to communicate in English, Spanish and Portuguese brings value to his clients in communicating and working together with all employees. Bruno believes that cows always tell the truth and by evaluating rations, walking cows, communicating with employees, evaluating records and opportunities, the profitability of his clients will be maximized.
