Emanuel Garmendia is a Uruguayan veterinarian who graduated from the University of the Republic (UdelaR). Raised on his family’s dairy farm in Colonia Department, he developed a strong passion for dairy production from an early age.
Throughout his career, he has been part of leading dairy operations in both Uruguay and Australia, where he lived and worked. In Uruguay, he served as the lead veterinarian of a technical team at a large-scale dairy operation with more than 13,000 milking cows in Durazno Department. This experience provided him with extensive expertise across a range of production systems, with a particular focus on confined and semi-confined dairy operations.
Passionate about the dairy industry, Emanuel is committed to helping producers continuously improve herd performance and farm profitability. With strong expertise in reproduction and herd health, he enjoys training farm teams, developing standardized protocols, implementing innovative technologies, and optimizing management practices to achieve more efficient and profitable dairy systems.
