Dr. John Goeser
Dr. John Goeser has built his career around helping dairy and agricultural businesses improve profitability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. He earned his BS in 2004, MS in 2006, and PhD in Dairy Nutrition in 2008.
Goeser serves as a Board-Certified Dairy Nutrition & Management Consultant with Progressive Dairy Solutions, Inc., where he works with dairy producers to improve herd performance and business outcomes. His approach brings together multiple disciplines, including dairy nutrition, agronomy, veterinary medicine, and farm management, creating a collaborative environment where producers and industry experts can work together toward practical solutions.
In addition to his consulting role, Goeser serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the University of Wisconsin–Madison Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences. He is also a certified Technical Service Provider through the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service for feed management planning, with a focus on helping dairy producers navigate opportunities related to carbon emissions mitigation.
Goeser is also a respected industry educator and writer, contributing regular columns to Hoard’s Dairyman and Hay & Forage Grower. His columns, “Feeding Fundamentals” and “Quality Coach,” provide practical, science-based insights focused on dairy nutrition, feed quality, and forage management.
